Office Space

To some, it's simply an office space, a desk, or a place to work. It holds your pens and pencils, your computer, paperwork, and provides a "surface" to work in or on. To some, it’s a matter of clocking in and out. But to me, that new office and that old desk is not a burden or an inconvenience, or just a 'space'...but an opportunity.

An opportunity to reach out to our students. An opportunity to strengthen the bond between the students, the faculty, and the academic institution itself. An opportunity to create change. My pens and pencils will not scribble out dates, but craft ideas. My desk will not be a surface to work on, but a foundation to build on. My office will not be four walls, it will be the entire campus as well as the community. It's not about clocking in or out, it’s about being engaged, and being "all in".
